The MITE BRUSHING MACHINE makes it possible to quickly and efficiently remove all mites from the leaf samplings of nearly any variety of plant life.
With the MITE BRUSHING MACHINE, one person can brush thousands of leaves per day with more complete removal of insects than has ever been possible by hand.
The MITE BRUSHING MACHINE is easy to operate and does not require special training. Anyone can be trained to be an efficient operator in minutes.
OPERATIONS
Each leaf is run through a pair of rotating brushes by inserting it into the top opening of the plated tubing (without releasing the stem from the fingers). The leaf is pulled back out and discarded. The mites will have been deposited on a round misroscope glass which has been placed on a rotating table below the bottom opening of the tubing. The rotating table insures the even distribution of the insects for fast accurate counting and identification.
The glass is placed in a microscope stage glass holder designed for use with the round glass plates.
The stage pattern has been designed to provide a very efficient counting process. To indicate one complete revolution and eliminate possible errors, the stage plate holder is notched in one position.
